Welcome to The Drama Space! My name is Louise and I have been teaching Drama since 2003 teaching at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. I am passionate that drama and theatre should have a prominent place in today’s school curriculum.
I currently work in a large secondary school as a head of department. I am regularly involved in the mentoring and tutoring of trainee teachers, I am an examiner and moderator and I am about to add LAMDA teacher to my list of roles from September! Before being permanently ensconced in school, I ran a youth drama group, a summer camp and worked as a make-up artist and teacher abroad.
I live in the south east of England with my husband, two daughters and three guinea pigs.
I would love to see The Drama Space become a useful blog and valuable resource for anyone involved in delivering Drama to young people, from trainee teachers and ECTs to experienced leaders of drama and theatre.
If there are any topics you would like to see covered, or resources, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you. I can also be found on Twitter @Loueym.
